Send a message

After you have registered your number with Signal, you can start communicating privately with other Signal users. 

Here's how to send a message:

1. In Signal, tap or to view your Signal contact list.
2. Select a contact from your list, search by username, or search by phone number.
3. Tap into the text field and type your message or tap or to attach a photo, video, or file.
4. To send,
   1. On Android, tap the blue send icon with a closed lock.
   2. On iOS, tap the send arrow.
   3. On Desktop, press Enter.
